Overview:
This is a 0–1 mobile app design project I created during my internship, featuring an AI-powered styling chatbot that delivers personalized outfit recommendations. Users can virtually try on different garments and save complete looks in their closet. I collaborated with designers and researchers to develop multiple wireframe iterations for the homepage, AI chatbot, and virtual closet, and ultimately built the high-fidelity prototypes for the main pages.
What user pain points did we find?
Overwhelmed by Too Many Choices
“I spend so much time scrolling but still can’t find something that fits my style.”
“Sometimes I just want to find a suitable accessory for my dress, but I spend so much time scrolling and end up finding nothing that looks good.”
Desire to Trying Pieces Together Before Purchase
“It’s hard to imagine how two items from different brands will pair together. I wish I could try them on together digitally instead of browsing individual item.”
“I want to mix and match items before purchasing instead of relying on model photos.”
Looking for Personalized Outfit Recommendations
“I wish there were more personalized suggestions based on today’s weather, my occupations, and etc.”

As a team, we brainstormed ideas to enhance users’ online shopping and try-on experience.

Allows users to click and combine items from different brands and the items they already owned in their virtual closet to explore outfit possibilities.
